Bronco Ordering and Production Update

January 9, 2021

  • Suspense has surrounded the Ford Bronco from day one. Its body style, release date and it is no surprise now that its initial order, production and delivery dates are widely speculated.

It appears that this will finally be the month to place your final Bronco order at J.C. Lewis Ford! However, Ford has confirmed that customers will not begin to receive the 2021 Bronco two-and four-door SUV until summer 2021 because of coronavirus-related supplier issues.

"Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire Bronco production launch schedule shifted, now pushing the manual transmission Bronco models with available Sasquatch package into 2022 model year. Therefore you will not find the Sasquatch option in the Build and Price Tool. Sasquatch expanding to manual transmission-equipped Bronco models will now be a 2022 model year option. Build & Price will be updated at that time."

We have researched, spoken with our contacts and provided you the most current frequently asked questions.

Will my configuration from Build & Price be sent to my dealer?

No. Bronco reservation holders should use the Build & Price tool to support their upcoming order consultation. Recommend printing and saving a copy to share with your dealer during ordering process.

What steps are required to complete my reservation?

Go online and select your preferred configuration, create a Ford Account, select your preferred dealer and enter your credit/debit card details and address. A confirmation receipt will be sent to the email address you provide. *

We will be contacting our reservation holders to schedule your final order placement. Order placement at J.C. Lewis Ford is when your build and price tool becomes helpful and could in fact expedite the process. Broncos won't necessarily be built in the order that orders are received from dealers. They get scheduled based on parts and option availability at the plant. An individual option, or even the paint color, can delay your place in line until that option, or paint, is expected to be on-hand.

Will orders be built in the order that reservations were received?

Reservations will be fulfilled in approximately the same order received, based on final ordering and production of similarly configured Broncos. Due to the high number of Bronco two-door and four-door reservations, deliveries will extend into the 2022 calendar year.

Once orders are placed Bronco will start the scheduling process where production schedules and estimates are provided of all previously received dealer orders. Actual delivery times will vary based on reservation timestamp, vehicle model and configuration selected, part constraints, and the number of Broncos we have set to receive. It is estimated in May 2021 you will receive a delivery window based on final ordering and production of similarly configured Broncos.

Will I be able to convert my reservation to order on Ford.com?

No. Process of placing your formal order is handled by your selected dealer. Your Ford Dealer will begin reaching out to you in mid-January to schedule an order consultation and take your order.

Most importantly ensure you have accurate information from J.C. Lewis Ford, your preferred dealer. We share your anticipation and enthusiasm for the final ordering process.

In summary, if you have a reservation and you have selected J.C. Lewis Ford as your preferred dealer, we will contact you to set up a J.C. Lewis Ford final order consultation.
